BP Insul-Sheathing Panels
BP offers a wide selection of insulating wall panels made of wood fiber providing an environmental and economic option to meet local building codes.
BP Insul-Sheathing panels provide lateral bracing during construction and thermal resistance between R-1.3 and R-5 depending on the panel.
- R-1.3 Panel
R-1.3 is a 7/16’’ wall sheathing panel produced from non-toxic organic materials and natural wood fibres. All panels are asphalt coated on both sides for greater weather resistance. R-1.3 has excellent water vapour permeance which allows interior water vapour to escape to the exterior and not be trapped within the wall cavity where it could cause damage.
- R-1.5 Panel
R-1.5 is a 1/2’’ wall sheathing panel produced from non-toxic organic materials and natural wood fibres. All panels are asphalt coated on both sides for greater weather resistance. R-1.5 has excellent water vapour permeance which allows interior water vapour to escape to the exterior and not be trapped within the wall cavity where it could cause damage.
- R-4 HP Panel
R-4 HP Insul-Sheathing is a composite panel made from polystyrene foam laminated on a wood fibre insulation panel coated with asphalt for greather weather resistance.R-4 HP Insul-Sheathing combines the strength of the fibre board with the insulation properties of the polystyrene.
- R-5 XP Panel
Our R-5 XP Insul-Sheathing panel, formerly light blue, is now grey. This is to indicate that it has been produced using DuPont’s new reduced global warming potential Styrofoam™ Brand XPS formulation, which was designed to comply with the North American Greenhouse Gas and Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) reduction objectives. In other words, R-5 XP panels are now GREY, and GREENER than ever!
